Vegas Lights

This project was designed with a filter in order to incorporate the large amounts of light which fill up the Vegas strip. This picture was taken inside of the casino which is already a bright place full of light. The filter effect of the swirles light all around allows the picture to take on the feeling of being engulfed in a room full of lights, and amusement. This project allows someone to feel as though they are in the Vegas casino surrounded by entertainment and motion all around.

RAH!

This project was inteded to have an intense theme to it. The background of the cheetah makes the project seem primitive and intense. The picture of the boy with his mouth open seems as if he wants to scream something and it was changed with a filter in order to create a new mood. The words add depth to the intensity the subject is feeling, the capitaliztion seems loud a booming, while the red is a bright contrast.

This layered project is able to create the look that the two people in the photograph are experiencing a sunset together. The sunset in the background has a blurred filter put on it which creates a more evening, relaxing mood for the project as a whole. The darkness of the background comes through, as the opacity of the second layer is only set to around 40. This creates a scene which seems to be taking place at dusk.

Neon Dog

This image used filters in order to create a neon drawing effect. The first filter used was in order to sharpen the photograph. This allowed each piece of fur to become more easily defined which contributed to the project as a whole. In order for the neon effect to become more effective the sharpening was necessary. The next filter used was to give the colors a new look and the outline of the dog in the white was given a 4 radius so that it would not overtake the project it was only to keep some of the dogs definition avaialable to the person looking at the photo.

Chicken with Filters

The filters placed on this chicken were added in order to create a new effect which is not
gotten by the photo on its own. The filter created a dotted effect which allows the true characteristic of the chicken to show through in a different way. The acutal object did have little holes in which are represented in a new way. The bright colors contrasting with the dark are also able to bring out the feeling of the chicken which was created using bright colors contrasting with a white background, which is changed to darker in this project. The lime green effect around the eyes truely adds to the intensity of the project as a whole.

Mountain Sunset

This overlapping of photographs creates the perfect mood for the sunset. The mountains which were created by adding layers to the photograph are easily able to bring to life the moment in the day and night with only one photograph. This picture creates a beautiful scene which has a pleasant calming mood to it. The layer containing the mountain remains at a lower opacity so it does not control the entire picture, it only remains as a slight contrast between day and night.

This photograph was taken and edited in order to create a contrast in the light and dark. The picture was taken through an arch and it was then edited in order to make sure the contrast between the shadow of the rocks surrounding the opening were well highlighted. The picture is able to truely show the contrast between light and dark making it into a quality picture.

Human head on Dog Body

This image was designed to be comedic. The head on the body of the dog was created by using layers. The green eyes were colored in so that they would stand out and add a funnier aspect to the project as a whole. The text was added to bring in another level of comedy, and the text used was a bolder looking color to emphasize the boldness of a dogs bark.

Chicken Drawing

This picture was of a knit chicken. The drawing of the chicken was able to bring out the colors to a brighter level. The messy edges of the chicken allow the goofy look of the chicken to truely show through. The fact that the edges of the chicken are not colored completely in the line give the look that a child drew it which adds to the mood given off by this picture. This drawing was done by using layers and opacity in order to trace the original photograph.[Photo]

This photograph of two people has been overlapped with a pictureof a knit chicken. The picture of the object
used layers in order to allow the overlapping picture to show. This picture was taken of two people who
have a special connection to the object in the overlapping picture. The overlapping chicken was able to bring
a new object into the picture adding new depth to the feeling of the picture overall. The chicken is also able
to bring in a new color scheme which was not originally in the picture. Although the overlapping picture
causes there to be a great deal of things going on in the project, it is appropriate because of the humor
behind the chicken.
